One-one-one-one!

Happy New Year!!!!

Hello 2011! =) My resolutions this year were not the usual product of careful reflection and consideration, but they were born of champagne bubbles and happy feelings shared with those closest to me. Today brought with it the time for the reflection and planning, and I am still happy with my goals. I'm ready to rock it out in 2011, and here's what I'm going to do:

1. Lose 40 pounds by working out and eating right. No special gimmicks or diets, just boring old American sweat and determination. I normally would set a smaller goal, but why hold back? It's do-able if I set my mind to it.

2. Go to church. I confessed to a friend today that right now the motivation is more selfish in nature, simply that I feel better about me when I make myself go. I believe that if I start with that, God will grow the seeds and do His work, so this year I'm keeping it simple. No plans to read the entire Bible in a limited amount of time or save everyone around me, but focus on me, and the basics of my faith. It all starts with the building blocks, right?

3. Create a blog, invite some friends to follow my journey, and accept and enjoy the accountability this provides. Oh, and I'd also like to not abandon the blog, too ;)

Visualizing December 31, 2011 has been my hobby today. The gym at my apartment complex was not open today, but I'll be there tomorrow, and for now I'm off to make a healthy dinner!

What are you resolutions?
